From the gorgeous vibrant pink and red blooms of the Rose Mallow {Rose of Sharon} to the deep browns of eucalyptus seed pods and leaves and the colorful blossoms of Thai basil and baby rosettes...so many possibilities for beautiful inks arise.

You’ll explore landscape alchemy and experiment with creating wild botanical inks. I’ve been experimenting with creating botanical inks for about four years using blossoms foraged from my backyard and neighborhood to collecting rocks and wildflowers for paint pigments.

It's a lesson in slowing down, a lesson to appreciate all the beauty that surrounds us. it’s always exciting to see how the initial color extraction changes with each modification.
